Oh! is the award-winning second studio album from Girls' Generation. It was released on January 28, 2010 in Korea. The album was re-released in March 2010, and "Run Devil Run" became the second single from the album.

Background[]

In January 2010, S.M. Entertainment confirmed that the group would be back in February with their second full-length album; the release date was eventually moved up to January 28.

On its first day of sale, Oh! sold 30,000 copies. The album was released in more than 80 countries via iTunes on February 8, 2010.

The group began promoting their album on MBC's Music Core on January 30. The group also performed "Show! Show! Show!" as a part of their special comeback stage on Music Core and SBS's Inkigayo.

Upon the album's full release, various album tracks charted in the top ten of various charts.

The album originally included one out of ten random photocards (nine members and one group card), making it the first Korean album to include photocards. These cards were first-press only, with a second press being released including different photos of the girls and no group card.

The big difference between the two presses was the original first-press cards having white borders. All cards had different images of the girls, except for Sunny's, whose first and second press cards were the same image. A final third press would be released with six group photocards and three unit photocards.

Sales and Charts[]

The song "Oh!" reached #2 on Gaon's 2010 yearly digital charts with 3,316,889 in digital sales. Surprisingly the song "Star! Star! Star!" was not a promoted single, but it still managed to chart at #99 with 1,480,417 in digital sales.

The album sold 30,000 copies on its first day of release and unexpectedly entered on Japan's Oricon weekly charts at the #54 spot. The album reached #2 on the Gaon's 2010 yearly chart with 197,934 copies sold.
